Hard Drive Destruction as low as $6.00 per drive in quantities of 11 or more. 

We offer a destruction service for computer hard drives in which we physically destroy the drive  As with our paper shredding service you are welcome to witness the destruction process at our Berkeley location. For customers outside our service area we accept drives delivered by certified mail, will perform the destruction operation and provide a certificate of destruction for $20.00 . We can also return the drive remnants by  certified mail (if requested).

Physical Destruction Of Hard Drives:  Our normal Hard Drive destruction procedure involves punching the spindle out of the middle of the drive and then punching the disc. We can offer this service at the customer location.

Software: "Boot and Nuke" by Dban on Floppy Disk. This software comes ready to use. Just insert the Floppy and re-boot or turn on the computer. Follow the simple instructions to select the hard drive and level of erasure and all data will be permanently wiped from the hard drive(s) There are no limitations on usage.

The software is Freeware and can be downloaded at : http://dban.sourceforge.net/ . Our charges are for making a bootable image on the chosen media. (Although not difficult this process is more complicated than just making a copy)
